The Andrews Labor Government will provide $10 million to support Victorians with disabilities, their families, service providers and staff as they transition to the National Disability Insurance Scheme.

This funding will ensure they receive practical information and resources to help them adapt to the new way the NDIS will work.

The Government will also begin identifying which organisations are best placed to provide
services that are currently provided and funded by the State Government through the NDIS.

The NDIS will be rolled out in the City of Casey from 1 September 2018 and will benefit an estimated 10,557 in the City of Casey, Cardinia Shire and Greater Dandenong.

“I am often contacted by local residents who are facing extraordinary circumstances and I know that the NDIS will make a big difference in their lives,”

“This funding will ensure that when the NDIS is rolled out in our local community, people with disabilities can expect that the services they need to live full and active lives will be ready.”
