Narre Warren South P-12 student Atifa Ashgari has been awarded the Denese Bartlett Memorial Scholarship.

Each year, Ms Graley presents the scholarship to a female year 11 student from Narre Warren South P-12 College.

The Scholarship is in honour of Denese Bartlett, a local mother who led the campaign for the establishment of Narre Warren South P-12 College.

Ms Graley said that Atifa was an outstanding role model to her fellow students, showing exemplary leadership and dedication in everything she does.

“Atifa has worked tirelessly as part of the college’s Student Voice team, playing a key role in developing their very successful YouTube channel,”

“Throughout the year Atifa has also organised whole school events, represented the school at various functions and even helped design the school’s commemorative jumper for next year,”

“Not to mention her outstanding VCE results in Math Methods, General Maths and Chemistry,”

“There is no doubt the fighting spirit of Denese Bartlett lives on in our exceptional Atifa and I know she will continue to play an important leadership role within our community.”
