BERWICK WOODWORKERS BRING CHRISTMAS JOY TO CASEY

State Labor Member for Narre Warren South Judith Graley congratulated the Berwick District Woodworkers for hosting their annual Toy Gala Day on Sunday.

Each year the Berwick Woodworkers hold their Gala Day to present handmade toys to local organisations to distribute to disadvantaged children at Christmas.

The not for profit organisations that will distribute the toys this year include Cardinia Combined Churches, Casey North Community Information and Support Service, Cranbourne Information and Support Services, Migrant Resource Centre and Windemere.

Ms Graley said that this year the woodworkers had crafted 713 toys, a new record that will ensure a joyous Christmas for many more families in Casey.

“Chris Drysdale and his team at the Berwick Woodworkers have once again done an exceptional job,”

“The woodworkers generously give a wooden gift of joy to those who might otherwise miss out,”

“They are wonderful Santa’s for so many and we are so very fortunate to have them in Casey.”
