Brentwood Park Primary School has welcomed students and teachers from their sister school Yangzhong Experimental School in China.

Principal Yiquin Xi, English language teacher Jenny Huang and nine students visited Brentwood Park Primary School earlier this year.

The delegation stayed with eight local families and were able to experience all that Australia has to offer, including the footy.

Over the past two years Brentwood Park Primary School has successfully introduced Chinese language lessons, including dumpling and mooncake making.

Ms Graley congratulated Brentwood Park on establishing such a strong relationship with their sister school in China.

“The entire school community has embraced the Chinese language, history and culture, learning all that they can about such an interesting and important nation,”

“Students are tackling one of the hardest languages to learn, yet they are excelling, taking on the challenge with outstanding dedication and commitment,”

“I was so very thrilled to hear firsthand from students about how much they are enjoying these classes and the visit from their new friends in China,”

“I know they are excited by the prospect of visiting their sister school in China and I hope they get to experience this opportunity of a lifetime.”
