Coral Park Primary School has been awarded a $3,000 grant by the Andrews Labor Government for encouraging kids to ditch their lift to school and cycle instead.

As part of National Ride2School Day earlier this year 74 students and their families rode to school on their bikes or scooters and 173 walked.

State Member for Narre Warren South Judith Couacaud Graley MP congratulated the school on their efforts and donated ten new bicycle helmets for students to use on the school’s new bikes.

Coral Park Primary School can use their grant to create bike parking facilities and build bike sheds, or ActivePaths that allow students to ride safely to school.
