Multi-Million Dollar Boost for Victoria’s Emergency Services Volunteers

Local volunteer emergency service organisations can now apply for the 2015-16 Volunteer Emergency Services Equipment Program (VESEP).

The Andrews Labor Government will provide up to $12.54 million for VESEP to ensure volunteer emergency services organisations can protect lives and properties within our community.

VESEP offers grants of up to $100,000 for emergency service volunteer groups to purchase additional operational equipment, vehicles, trucks, tankers, watercraft, trailers and support minor facility improvements.

Ms Graley said that our local volunteer emergency service organisations do an outstanding job of caring for our community and its people during its most difficult times.

“Whether it is the Narre Warren SES or the Hampton Park CFA, their volunteers are always there, responding to our calls for help day or night,”

“I urge all our fantastic local volunteer emergency organisations to apply for
this program.”
