Under Denis Napthine’s botched rail scheme no trains on the Pakenham and Cranbourne Lines will run through the City Loop –ever.

The so-called Melbourne Rail Link will dump Pakenham and Cranbourne Line passengers at Southern Cross Station, on the other side of Melbourne’s CBD. 

Shadow Minister for Public Transport, Jill Hennessy, joined Labor Member for Narre Warren South, Judith Graley, at Hallam Station today to talk to commuters about the botched transport scheme.

    people using Melbourne’s metropolitan train system – particularly during peak
  • It is predicted that over the next two decades the number of trips on the rail
    network will increase to 1.7 million each day.
