NEW TREATMENT SERVICES OPEN FOR ICE REFERRALS IN CASEY

The Andrews Labor Government is delivering on its commitment to stop the terrible impact ice is having on our community.

As part of the $45.5 million Ice Action Plan, drug treatment services across Victoria are now taking referrals for new, community-based day rehabilitation programs.

State Member for Narre Warren South Judith Couacaud Graley MP today announced that
UnitingCare ReGen has received funding to provide therapeutic day rehabilitation services for the Casey-Cardinia area.

Therapeutic day rehabilitation provides people with an intensive structured program of drug treatment, similar to the interventions that might be provided through a residential rehabilitation program, including counselling and programs designed to build life skills and promote well-being.

This program ensures that while the person is being treated they can maintain their connections with family, friends and the community. Families, in particular, can provide real support for someone recovering from addiction.

If you’re seeking drug and alcohol treatment referrals, including community-based day
rehabilitation, please call DirectLine on 1800 888 236.
