NO FUNDING FOR CASEY CENTRAL EAST PRIMARY SCHOOL
The Napthine Government’s budget failed to provide funding for construction of Casey Central East Primary School, State Labor Member for Narre Warren South Judith Graley said today.
Ms Graley said that the Napthine Government has refused to provide a single cent of funding for construction of the desperately needed Casey Central East Primary School.
“Local schools are overflowing with nearly 1000 students each and our community continues to grow,”
“Construction at the estate in which the new school site is located is well underway and families have already begun to move in,”
“Yet instead of a new school, local families have been left with an empty paddock and an uncertain wait.”
Ms Graley said that this came on top of the Napthine Government directing the bulk of school maintenance funding to schools in Liberal and National party electorates.
“This has resulted in every school in the electorate of Narre Warren South missing out on vital maintenance funding,”
“The clear message from Dr Napthine to the parents of this community is that their kids just don’t matter to him.”
