An Andrews Labor Government will get on with the job of fixing our schools and rebuild Hampton Park Primary School.

Leader of the Opposition Daniel Andrews joined with State Labor Member for Narre Warren South Judith Graley and Shadow Minister for Education James Merlino, to deliver the news to parents and teachers.

Labor’s $5 million commitment will upgrade the school office, toilets and staff facilities, art, library, computer room, and build a new science discovery centre.

Ms Graley said the announcement was welcome news to a school that had been abandoned by a cruel and callous Napthine Government.

“I have raised the need for action with the Minister for Education on countless occasions, yet each and every time he has refused to do a single thing to address the poor state of the school buildings,”

“Students, parents and staff have all been crying out for help and unlike Napthine and his dysfunctional government Labor has listened and will act,”

“It is only fair and right that the high quality of the teaching and learning at
Hampton Park Primary School takes place in the very best, modern facilities,”

“I am really pleased that with the election of a Labor Government, the kids in Hampton Park will get the very best school facilities and education opportunities that they rightly deserve. It is a great day.”
