State Labor Member for Narre Warren South Judith Graley has congratulated Narre
Warren South P-12 College’s school leaders on their involvement at the Returned and Services League of Australia Annual State Service at the Springvale Botanical Cemetery.

Two of the student leaders, Janine and Rebecca, assisted Ms Graley MP, to lay a wreath in remembrance of those who made the ultimate sacrifice.

“I always feel deeply humbled and privileged to attend Remembrance services and I hope
the students felt the same way,” Ms Graley said

“These terrific young people from Narre Warren South P-12 College took it upon
themselves to attend the service and what this says about their character should be admired.”

The Ceremony included hymns, prayers and speeches. CDRE Charles McHardie, AM, RAN, Director General of the Australian Defence Simulation and Training Centre,
spoke about World War I and how it formed the “mateship” that is still represented within the Australian community today.

“The ceremony was a reminder that we must never forget the sacrifices from those who
came before us. Lest we forget.”
