State Labor Member for Narre Warren South Judith Graley has praised the Berwick District Woodworkers for handcrafting hundreds of toys for disadvantaged children.

Each year the industrious woodworkers handcraft toys for local not for profit organisations to distribute to disadvantaged children and their families in the local community.

On behalf of the Berwick Woodworkers Ms Graley donated a number of wooden toys to
the Hampton Park Community Centre.

Ms Graley said that once again the woodworkers had outdone themselves to ensure
local families doing it a little tough still had a joyous Christmas.

“This is a wonderful act of generosity and a fine example of the Christmas spirit
from our much loved woodworkers,”

“Thanks to our very own Santa’s, many of our most disadvantaged children will now wake
up on Christmas morning to find a little present waiting for them,”

“We are so very fortunate to have the Berwick Woodworkers working so tirelessly to
bring Christmas joy to our community.”
