BUCHANAN PARK GOES PINK IN FIGHT AGAINT BREAST CANCER

Recently I hosted a Mini-Field of Women with local residents to pay tribute to all those affected by breast cancer in our community.

A Mini Field of Women is a display of 100 pink lady silhouettes symbolising the 14,000 Australian women diagnosed with breast cancer and the 2,600 who die from it each year.

It is always a wonderful experience to share the morning with my family, friends and the local community.

To speak with and hear the remarkable stories of those touched by breast cancer, you can’t help but be inspired to persevere and do what you can to help make it that little bit easier.

Our event is just one of the many ways we can provide much needed support for those affected and I encourage everyone to join in Pink October and help out in whatever way they can.

Thank you to everyone who came out and helped us turn Buchanan Park pink for such a great cause.
