Narre Warren South P-12 College goes pink

Ms GRALEY (Narre Warren South) — Recently I had the privilege of working in partnership with the Student Voice Group and teachers from Narre Warren South P-12 College to raise vital funds for breast cancer research and support. The group raised $1780 for Breast Cancer Network Australia, a truly sensational effort. To witness the enthusiasm and support displayed by the students was truly inspirational.

I was also invited to the school to participate in a group conversation with senior female students and staff. Students asked me questions, and I drew on my own experience with breast cancer to answer them. They were very interested in learning more about the early detection of breast cancer and about positive ways in which they can become involved to fight for this important cause.

Special thanks go to their teacher, Diane Parkinson, and voice group members Brooke Augustus, Rebecca Fischer, Shihan Izzedeen, Janine Jaramillo, Shari Hunter, Anais Seerungen, Atifa Ashgari, Arnhie San Juan, Pabasari Fernando, Sitarah Mohammadi, Lima Ashori, Brooke Ladds, Amira Sabrova, James Veitch, Jesse Morris, Salamasina Ausage, Joshua Hoxha, Chloe O’Reilly, Shaz Shariff, Dinura Balalla, Painuulasi Bartsch, Tylah Crichton, Joel Rogerson, Garry Ford, Marwa Hassanzada, Majda Stanikzai, Stephanie Wulf, Temor Foryabee, Melinda Rogerson, Daniel Krstev and Cassandra Richards. A brilliant effort.
